How to Prep Your Home for Twilight Photography

TwilightBlog

In order to properly prep the home for twilight photography, please make sure all the lights in the house are turned on. It would not be a bad idea to visit the house the day before to ensure that all the windows have lights in them. Rooms that don't have lights, will show as black voids in the photos and ruin the overall aesthetic.

Twilights need to be taken when the sun is at just the right place in the sky, so there is little margin for error. It often takes a while to turn on all the lights for the home (be sure to check for burnt out lightbulbs!), so it's best to arrive on site 30 minutes before the photographers arrival time in order to turn on all the lights.

How to Prepare a Listing for Professional Photography

When having your listing professionally photographed, prepping before the photographer arrives will make all the difference in the experience. Ideally, you want everything ready so that when the photographer arrives, the don't have to worry about doing any sort of additional housework. This will not only shave hours off of an appointment, but it will also ensure the photographer's best work, as it will allow them to focus on exposure, composition, and planning the perfect shots.
